La-Tanya, a Manager in the tax department of Ernst & Young Barbados, holds considerable experience providing tax advice and tax planning for regional and international corporate clients based in Barbados and the entire OECS. Over the course of her career she has also developed a keen appreciation for the interplay of direct and indirect tax implications pertaining to business operations at the local and regional level.  

La-Tanya obtained her L.L.B at the U.W.I Cave Hill Campus and has also completed an L.L.M in Corporate and Commercial Law.  During her post-graduate studies, La-Tanya focused on areas including Corporate Governance, Advanced Corporate Finance and Offshore Financial Law.  These areas have supported a career specialization in tax consultancy for the Banking and Capital Market industry. 

La-Tanya is also experienced in advising foreign multinationals operating in the Caribbean region, including the provision of advice on tax effective corporate structures, cross border reorganizations and transactions, tax efficient profit repatriation techniques and the use of tax treaties, including the CARICOM Tax Treaty.
